How to use Apple Family Sharing
This article explains how to share your KeePassium license with your family members. This allows your family members to use KeePassium Pro or Premium without additional purchases.
Family Sharing is managed by Apple
This guide makes many references to Apple's documentation, because the app itself has no control over family sharing.
For family organizers: Initial setup
- Check whether your KeePassium license supports family sharing.
- Subscriptions and KeePassium Pro support family sharing.
- One-time version purchase is personal and cannot be shared.
- Follow Apple's guide to set up Family Sharing on your device.
For family members
If you are a family member, please note that downloading family-shared content may be different from the usual "open AppStore → find the app → tap Download."
KeePassium Pro
- Open the App Store
- Tap your profile picture → Purchased
- Tap the family organizer's name to see their purchased apps
- Find KeePassium Pro and tap Download
- If there is nothing listed, follow these steps
Premium subscription
Normally, subscriptions purchased by the family organizer should get activated on your Apple account automatically. If you notice the app is stuck in free mode, try these steps:
- Open KeePassium settings → Upgrade to Premium → tap Already purchased?
- Try restarting your phone, sometimes it helps

Troubleshooting
- Check whether purchased premium plan supports family sharing. (One-time version purchase does not.)
