How to import data from Apple Passwords

This article describes how to transfer your passwords from Apple Passwords app to KeePassium.

1. Export passwords from your Mac to a file
   • Open Passwords app on your Mac
   • Open menu File → Export All Passwords to File
   • Click Export Passwords, then Save
   • This will produce a CSV file with all your passwords in plaintext
2. Convert your CSV into a KDBX database
   • Install KeePassXC
   • Open menu Database → Import…
   • Follow the import wizard
   • This will produce a KDBX file, which is compatible with KeePassium and other apps
3. Delete the temporary CSV file, it contains your passwords without any protection. Don't forget to empty the Recycle Bin.
4. Open the KDBX database with KeePassium or transfer the database to your iPhone/iPad.
